I'm rereading Neuromancer because it's been a long time and there's a movie with that name that is supposed to come out next year. I hadn't known it when I first read it years ago, but an anecdote that one of the characters tells is the story of Johnny Mnemonic. Although somehow she manages to leave out the best part. She also seems to gloss over the bit where they get help from Ice-T and his crime fighting cyborg dolphin.
