There are apparently petitions, vitriol, lawsuits, and people stalking writers, all over the ending to Mass Effect 3. I just finished the game and I have to wonder what the hell is wrong with people. I think the problem may have been that it was a bioware RPG on consoles? Maybe these problem children are fans of Call of Duty, and expected fireworks, jingo and everyone getting laid and high-fiving? The ending was pretty much awesome, the only problem I had was that there was no Animal House style rundown of how your decisions extended out into the future and how the principal characters ended up in life. That may not have fit the somber mood the ending had. Even so, pretty great ending. Shepard kills her two fathers (possibly replaying the excellent end to ME1 where you can convince your primary antagonist to eat a bullet for the sake of the galaxy without a fight), discovers that she is a Moorcockian cosmic hero, and resets the cosmic cycle. It pretty much doesn't get grander than that, and I think people who are dissatisfied with the ending just don't understand Bioware's roots or the RPGs it makes.
