I remember when...
Jul. 12th, 2011 09:40 pmClearly this memory that just floated to the surface of my brain is an inaccurate construct. It can only be some sort of artifact of faulty brain chemistry. But I seem to remember that when the video game "Gears of War"--which spawned the cover-based 3rd person shooter genre in video games--used to have advertizements on TV which featured Gary Jules' "Mad World." Who thought that was appropriate? All I remember about that game is that Ice T is all "at home on the rails!" as a "thrashball" playing supersoldier joyriding in the crucible of some sort of bombed out old automated smelting plant. And lots of rapid gunfire.
Edit: except that wasn't Ice-T. I've read his name a bunch in relation to the forthcoming sequel, which is apparently the first one his voice will appear in. Even so.
