I'm back from the con, and exhausted. A post or several posts on my activities, reflections, speculations, regrets etc will be forthcoming. On the flight home I was reading The Sirens of Titan and the chapters describing the command and control system of the Martian army, as well as the chapters describing the invasion of earth started getting me a little excited. I like mind control, but this was about as non-sexual as mind control can be, although Vonnegut seemed to have a good grasp of the sorts of internal and external situations that make the subject so interesting and compelling for me.
